We're currently accepting enrolments for Reception Term 1 and Term 3 intakes. We recommend you enquire about enrolment for Term 3, 2023 and Term 1, 2024 enrolment as soon as possible.

Please contact the school office for enrolments in other year levels or if you have any questions or wish to attend a Principal's Tour.

Dominican School offers two intakes per year for children starting Reception.

If your child starts in Term 1, they'll need to be aged five on or before April 30 of that year. If they turn five on or before October 31, they'll be start on the first day of school in Term 3, and they'll have a minimum of six terms of Reception.

If your child's birthday falls between November 1 and December 31, they aren't eligible to commence school before the following year. Please talk to us if your family falls into that situation.

If your child is starting in Reception, they'll receive a visit from our Early Years teachers at their  pre-school in the term before they start. This will give your child a chance to meet their new teacher in a familiar environment, and also helps our teachers gather any important information from pre-school/kindergarten teachers that can aid in your child's learning.

If your child is starting at another year level, they are able to have transition visits (if time permits) and are allocated buddies to help them to feel supported and comfortable in this new environment.

Our teachers also assist our students in their transition to secondary school.

Dominican School offers schooling for Reception to Year 6 in line with other Catholic primary schools, so your child will commence their secondary schooling in Year 7.

Our families have access to excellent Catholic Colleges nearby - these include Mount Carmel College (Rosewater), Nazareth Catholic Community (Underdale) and St Michael's College (Henley Beach).

Families who live in the local area also have pathway options to Government Secondary schools such as LeFevre High School (Semaphore South) and Ocean View College (Taperoo).
